Debra Gomez, Ph.D.
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Gomez is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families. She received her master's degree in clinical psychology from the University of North Texas and her doctorate from Texas Woman’s University. She has a particular expertise in the treatment and assessment of children. She specializes in autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, depression, and behavior dysregulation.
Dr. Gomez is dual trained and licensed as a clinical psychologist and a school psychologist. This allows a unique expertise in facilitating the best interface between clinical issues of children and their functioning in school settings. She co-authored the manual of best practices in autism identification and evaluation used in all schools in the State of Texas. She has taught at the university level and has directed the clinical training of doctoral level psychologists.
She has been in private practice for over 20 years, working with children and families with a variety of emotional and behavioral issues. Through the years, she has developed a particular interest in working with women and mothers. Dr. Gomez is passionate about providing individuals and families personalized support and services.
